Laird Cregar gives a staggering nightmarish performance as a musician with a Jekyll-Hyde personality in this haunting turn-of-the-century thriller directed by John Brahm. When distinguished London composer George Harvey Bone learns of a murder that occurred when he suffered from amnesia, he worries that he may be the murderer. Fortunately, his mind is put at ease by a Scotland Yard report that proves he is not linked to the crime. But when he is betrayed by a pub singer who promises to marry him if he writes songs for her, it becomes clear that Bone has a murderous streak after all. Also starring George Sanders, Hangover Square is a chilling psychological tale you won´t soon forget.
